After making a blistering pass in Kennedale , Texas this past friday night Mike experienced primary parachute failure on the second pass of the night and hit the sand pits doing around 245 mph at the end of the track before comming to rest destroying the SPACE MACHINE!  Mike pulled the secondary chute but due to the short shutdown, along with Mike's desire to run thru the lites, there was little room before Mike had to make a bee line for the sand or face flying over the cliff waiting behind a few water barrels at the end of the track.  Everyone at the track was top notch, getting to the crash scene almost immediately. attending to Mike making sure there was no un-necessary  injuries after the fact.  After locking up the brakes and turning left into the sand pit, Mike began a series of barrell rolls before catching the nose of the body sending the car end over end comming to rest on the remaining three wheels and bodiless.  With all that said and done, Mike would like to thank ALL the workers, EMTs, safety guys and Bubba for making his safety their first priority. Mike would also like to personally send out his apoligizies and thanks to Jerry McCart for being the first person to come to Mikes aid and being there when he did not have to be.  Jerry and his gal Patty are a tue class act who will be great for this industry for years to come. With that said, TDR looks forward to many events in the future with the GLORY DAYS jet dragster.       

     Mike is recovering with some bruised ribs, a tore up right knee, and will need some more dental work, but the team hopes to be up and back at them soon. TDR would like to send out its best wishes and prayers to the Kalitta family and Dale Vickery as they battle through these rough times.
